Far than a present, though, this is a pretty mediocre cash in that is only for hardcore trucker fans at most. You get strong artists like David Allen Coe, Red Sovine, etc, with some of their lesser tracks, or weak artists like David Frizzell and Charlie Craig doing what they do.

Copious notes and fantastic graphics included with the CD tell the story much better than I can in a short review, let me just say that this is a wonderful collection that was truly a moving experience listening to, and I strongly recommend picking this up especially for those history buffs like me out there.
This time they have turned their attention to the "hippy revolution" of the s with 31 mostly country songs dealing with hippies and all that word implies including long hair, love-ins, marijuana, LSD, protesting and more. I created the Spontaneous Composition Generator to produce a random series of musical actions. It is a device consisting of 37 altered music box movements mounted in a wooden painters box. The alterations include dampening, detuning, replacing, removing, doubling, and reversing the tines.
Most of the original melody pins on the cylinders were removed. Rubber bands of various lengths and thicknesses were attached to the winding stems to facilitate a continuously variable tension. One dozen hand-wired piezo pickups are attached to output a stereo signal. The piece on this recording was created November 9, with a time of Jungle Nausea folllowed its own twisted path, using both conventional and homemade instruments, and getting unintended sounds out of their rhythm machine.

The music of the Modern Jazz Group Freiburg was truly excellent. Even today it sounds incredibly modern and energetic.

In the early s he was part of the international free jazz scene and performed at major European festivals with his Tomasz Stanko Quintet. In the s Stanko played with Cecil Taylor and led his own bands that incorporated reggae, Latin, electronic and rap influences. This album, unavailable for 40 years, is now remastered for optimal sound.
This work showcases the band at a creative peak, performing some of the best known tunes from its live shows, including the powerful tribute to trombonist "Shotgun Joe" Williams called 'Why They Had To Kill Him' and their version of The O'Jays classic 'Family Reunion' entitled appropriately 'Stooges Reunion'.
